TERRAVET–Tablet Broad spectrum antibiotic


Composition:
Each 1 tablet contains: Oxytetracycline HCI 500 mg.
(Equivalent to 463 mg. Oxytetracycline Base )
Properties:
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against various Gram- negative and Gram-positive bacterial, chlamydial and mycoplasmal infections. It is the most common used tetracycline in veterinary practice. Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic and inhibits protein synthesis by reversibly binding to 30S ribosomal subunits of susceptible organisms, thereby preventing binding to those ribosomes of aminoacyltransfer - RNA. Also it is believed to reversibly bind to 50S ribosomes and additionally alter cytoplasmic membrane permeability in susceptible organisms.
Indications:
TERRAVET – Tablet is indicated for the treatment of bacterial interitis caused by E.coli and Salmonella spp. in calves, lambs , kids and horses.
TERRAVET – Tablet is also indicated for the treatment of various systemic bacterial infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms.
Dosage and Administration: (Use a suitable balling gun for administration per os)
1 tablet of TERRAVET – Tablet / 20 – 45 kg B.wt (10- 20 mg oxytetracycline Base / kg B.wt) for 3 - 5 days.
Withdrawal Period: meat : 21 days
Cautions:
1. Remove each tablet from its strip only immediately prior to use.
2. Do not administer damaged tablets.
3. Do not use excessive force during administration.
4. Use a suitable balling gun for administration.

ORAMECTIN
Oral Broad Spectrum Anthelmintic


Composition :
Each 1 ml contains Ivermectin …………… 0.8 mg
Properties:
The Avermectin family of compounds of which invermectin is a member, kills certain parasitic nematodes (roundworms) and arthropods. The action is unique and not shared by other antiparasitic agents and involves a chemical that serves as a signal from one nerve cell to another, or from a nerve cell to a muscle cell. This chemical, a neurotransmitter is called gamma aminobutyric acid or GABA.
In roundworms, invermectin stimulates the release of GABA from nerve endings and enhances binding of GABA to special receptors at nerve junctions, thus interrupting nerve impulses, thereby paralyzing and killing the parasite.
The enhancement of the GABA effect in arthropods resembles that in roundworms except that nerve impulses are interrupted between the nerve ending and the muscle cell. Again, this leads to paralysis and death in most species.
Indications:
Cattle and Buffaloes: Oramectin is indicated for the treatment of infestation with the following parasites:
Gastrointestinal roundworms: Adults and immature (forth stage larvae):
Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited stage) Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia spp. and Oesophagostomum radiatum.
Adult Stages: Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata, Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum venulosum and Trichuris spp.
Immature (forth stage larvae): Nematodirus spp.
Lung Worms: Dictyocaulus viviparous adults and immature.
Cattle Grubs: Parasitic stages of Hypoderma bovis and H. Lineatum.
Tropical Cattle Grubs: Parasitic stages of Dermatobia hominis.
Mites: Chorioptes bovis and Sarcoptes scabia var. bovis.
Lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Damalinia bovis and Solenopotes capillatus.
It also aids in the control of cattle ticks (Boophilus microplus).
Sheep and Goats:
Oramectin is indicated for the treatment of infestation with the following parasites:
Gastro-intestinal roundworms: Haemonchus contortus (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Haemonchus placei (adults), Ostertagia circumcincta (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Trichostrongylus axei (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Trichostrongylus colubriformis (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Cooperia curticei (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Cooperia oncophora (adults), Oesophagostomum columbianum (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Oesophagostomum venulosum (fourth-stage larvea), Nematodirus battus (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Nematodirus spathiger (adults and fourth-stage larvae), Strongyloides papillosus (adults), Chabertia ovina (adults) and Trichuris ovis (adults). Lungworms: Dictyocaulus filaria (adults and fourth-stage larvae).
Nasal Bots: Oestrus ovis (all larval stages).
Horses:
Oramectin is indicated for the treatment of infestation with the following parasites:
Large Strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris (adults and arterial larval stages), S. edentatus (adults and tissue stages), S. equinus (adults), Triodontophorus spp (adults).
Small Strongyles – including those resistant to some benzimidazole class compounds (adults and fourth-stage larvae): Cyathostomum spp, Cylicocyclus spp, Cylicostephanus spp, Cylicodontophorus spp.
Pinworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae): Oxyuris equi.
Ascarids (adults and third and fourth-stage larvae): Parascaris equorum.
Hairworms (adults): Trichostrongylus axei.
Large-mouth Stomach Worms (adults): habronema muscae.
Bots (oral and gastric stages): Gastrophilus spp.
Lungworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae): Dictyocaulus arnfieldi.
Intestinal Threadworms (adults): Strongyloides westeri.
Summer Sores cause by Habronema and Draschia spp coetaneous third-stage larvae.
Dermatitis caused by neck thread worm microfilariea, Onchocerca sp.
Dosage and Administration:
2.5 ml Oramectin / 10 kg B.wt (200 µg Ivermectin / kg) to be administered as a drench or via stomach tube.
The dose can be used undiluted or diluted up to 40 times with clean water.
Withdrawal Period: 28 Days.

BLOATRYL - Emulsion
Anti-Tympany Drench for Livestock


Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Methyl Silicone (Dimethicone) 25 mg.
Turpentine Oil 0.3 ml.
Anise Oil 0.01 ml.
Properties:
Bloatryl is an emulsion of Methyl Silicon, Turpentine Oil and Anise Oil, which are very effective as Anti-Tympany, Carminative, Laxative and demulcent agents.
Indications:
Bloatryl is used for the treatment of frothy bloat and tympany in cows, buffaloes, sheep & goats and for the prevention of excessive feed fermentation in rumen and colon of farm animals.
Dosage and Administration:
Cattle & Buffaloes:
50 - 100 ml are injected directly into the rumen or given with 1/2 liter of vegetable oil or water as a drench.
Doses may be doubled in large cattle and in severe cases.
Sheep & Goats:
15 - 25 ml are injected directly into the rumen or given with 250 ml of vegetable oil or water as a drench.
N.B. : Shake well before use. Bloatryl should be mixed with vegetable oil or water only.
Withdrawal Period: 4 days
Contra Indications and Warnings:
Bloatryl should not be given in cases of organic phosphorus compounds poisoning.
No side effects are expected within the recommended dosage.
Storage:
Store in a cool place and protect from light, in tightly closed containers.

Composition:
Each 12 gm sachet contains:
Neomycin 400 mg.
Sulphaguanidine 4000 mg.
Kaolin 4000 mg.
Pectin 400 mg.
Bismuth Subnitrate 2000 mg.

Properties:
New Diaclean is composed of Neomycin which is active against different bacteria causing diarrhea and Sulphaguanidine which has antibacterial and anti-protozoal activity. It also contains Kaolin, Pectin, Bismuth Subnitrate which forms a protective layer in the intestinal lumen to stop diarrhea. Presence of Vitamin A promote tissues regeneration.
Indications:
New Diaclean is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections e.g. diarrhea and enteritis due to bacterial or protozoal infection in calves, lambs and kids. It is also active against coccidiosis.
Dosage and Administration:
Calves, Sheep & Goats: 1/2 sachet mixed with drinking water, milk or feed twice daily.
Large Animals: 2 sachets mixed with drinking water or feed twice daily.

Indications:

Poultry:
The drug is given according to the following schedule:

30 gm / 25 lit of water 5 - 7 days (usual outbreak).
30gm / 50 lit of water 5 - 7 days (mild
outbreak).
30gm / 100 lit of water 7 - 14 days (maintenance in all cases).

Cattle , Sheep, Goats & Pigs:
2.5 mg / 10 kg B.wt. for 5 days in severe outbreak the dose can be doubled.

Indications:
Potent steroidal Anti-inflammatory.

Ketosis (acetonemia), allergic reactions, eczyma,
mastitis, milk fever, pneumonia (asthma), arthritis and inflammation of joint.
In horses:
Inflammation of Musclo- skeletal system bursitis, carpitis, and myositis,allergy,insect bits and hoof affections .

By intramuscular or intravenous injection.

Foals, Calves, Sheep & Goats:
